In general we have several classroom presentation Wednesday thru Saturday on various astronomy and science subjects. We also have Keynote Presentations each evening. The KEYNOTE speakers for this year are:

 

STAR QUEST 17 KEYNOTE SPEAKERS & TOPICS:
 
WEDNESDAY: DR. SHANE LARSON: Research Professor of Physics at Northwestern University, Associate Director of CIERA (Northwestern University Center for Interdisciplinary Exploration and Research in Astrophysics); Fellow, American Physical Society.

Topic: “The Dark Side of the Universe: Dark Matter and Dark Energy in the Galaxy and Cosmos”

 
THURSDAY: DR. CAITLIN AHRENS: NASA Postdoctoral Program, Fellow at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, LRO Diviner Science Team Member.

Topic: "Bang, Boom, Pop, Fizz: Space Volcanoes!"

 
FRIDAY: MARK “INDY” KOCHTE: Mission Operations Specialist, Applied Physics Laboratory.

Topic: “What’s New with New Horizons?”

 
SATURDAY: DR. JASON P. DWORKIN: Senior Scientist for Astrobiology, Project Scientist, OSIRIS-Rex, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.

Topic: “Returning a Piece of the Ancient Solar System: NASA’s OSIRIS-REx Mission”
